Yuke‘s AEW Fight Forever has faced yet more troubles on the road to its as-yet unspecified release date, as Game Changer Wrestling has opposed the company’s trademark of ‘Fight Forever’ after having previously held a January 2021 by the same name.
A report on Wrestling Inc reveals that GCW filed a trademark for Fight Forever in July 2021, which was a few months after AEW filed their own claim for the name in March of the same year. Fast-forward to March 2023, and GCW filed for an extension to oppose AEW’s trademark.
Potential opposed believes that good causes are established for this request by:
-The potential opposed needs additional time to investigate the claim.
– The potential opposer needs additional time to confer with counsel.
– The potential opposer is engaged in settlement discussions with applicant.
GCW’s request was granted and the company now has until May 31 to solidify their claim or reach a settlement with AEW.
AEW Fight Forever is due for release on PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with a release date yet to be announced.
